The Vortice Advantage: Precision Separation with Modular Flexibility
The DABPRESS Vortice Series is your ultimate partner for high-efficiency dry sifting. Engineered for extractors who demand professional results without the complexity of traditional methods, the Vortice lineup features a rugged build and a modular drum system. Choose between the classic Vortice 120 (PT01) featuring a rugged aluminum housing, or the upgraded Vortice 150 (PT02Y) featuring an extended thick acrylic housing for complete 360-degree visibility and higher throughput.
Model Selection Guide:
- Vortice 120 (PT01): Features a rugged anodized aluminum housing with a 120g capacity drum (6.26" x 8.66"). Built for solid, traditional durability. (Cold Use Note: While generally not recommended to place motorized tumblers in freezers, if you choose to chill the PT01, you must ensure the motor is 100% dry and completely free of water or condensation before powering on. Do not power on while wet; using a hair dryer to accelerate drying is strongly recommended.)
- Vortice 150 (PT02Y): Upgraded with an extended thick acrylic housing (6.26" x 11.34") and a massive 150g capacity, offering full 360-degree visibility of the tumbling process. (Cold Use Note: Never place the PT02Y into a freezer; only the removable acrylic drum can be chilled.)
⚠️ Critical Notice for Cold Environment & Freezer Use
Important Rule for PT02Y: The PT02Y (Acrylic Model) must never be placed into a freezer. Only the removable acrylic drum can be chilled.
Guidelines for PT01 (Aluminum Model): While we generally do not recommend placing motorized tumblers into the freezer, if you choose to put the PT01 in the freezer, you must strictly follow these rules:
- Ensure Complete Dryness Before Powering: After taking the PT01 out of the freezer, you must guarantee that the motor and all components are 100% completely dry with zero moisture. Do not plug in or power on the unit during this moisture-clearing process. Only after it is completely dry can you power it on or return it to use.
- Use a Hair Dryer to Accelerate Drying: We strongly recommend using a hair dryer on a cool/warm setting to help the motor and housing dry rapidly and safely for convenient use.
- Strict Safety Rule: Under no circumstances is the unit allowed to be powered on or operated before the motor is completely dry.
Product Highlights & Core Features
- Complete Professional Sifter Kit: Includes a full set of 6 user-replaceable nylon sifters (2 pieces each of 120µ, 160µ, and 220µ). Easily swap screens in minutes to refine your batch across multi-stage micron grades. Tip: Always ensure nylon sifters are kept properly taut during installation to maximize aperture opening and boost total resin yield.
- Brushless DC Variable Speed Drive: Driven by a durable 24V Brushless Motor with precise speed control (9V-24V). Fine-tune the rotation speed to match the moisture and fragility of your botanical material.
- Anti-Clog "Gravity Ball" Technology: Comes complete with 5 specialized anti-static plastic balls designed to be placed directly into the drum alongside your material. As the barrel rotates, these balls provide gentle impacts that prevent mesh blinding and ensure 100% sifting efficiency. Tip: Users can also choose alternative small balls of appropriate weight to suit their preference, helping prevent material from sticking to the sifter through gentle tumbling impact.
- Flexible Housing Options: Choose between the classic Anodized Aluminum Housing on the Vortice 120 or the 360-degree transparent Thick Acrylic Housing on the Vortice 150.
- Scalable Capacity: Select from 120g or 150g per cycle depending on your production scale.
- Easy-Clean Architecture: Every part of the Vortice series is easily accessible. The high-quality nylon sifters can be washed and reused for a hygienic, contaminant-free workflow.
Expert Advice: Maximizing Your Trichome Yield
To achieve connoisseur-grade results with your Vortice tumbler, follow these professional guidelines:
- The "Deep Freeze" Method: Freeze your plant material inside the removable drum for 2-4 hours before tumbling. Cold material becomes brittle, allowing trichomes to snap off effortlessly without breaking down plant fiber.
- Speed Modulation: Start at a lower speed (9V-12V) for the first 5 minutes to capture the "Prime" grade. Increase the voltage gradually to dislodge deeper resins without over-agitation.
- Strategic Micron Grading: Use the 220u for an initial "work" run, then refine the results using the 160u or 120u screens for ultimate purity.

The "Clean-Sweep" Protocol
- Loading: Place frozen dry material along with the 5 anti-clog gravity balls into the drum. Leave 30% air space for optimal tumbling. Ensure your nylon sifter is securely installed and kept taut.
- Sifting: Close the lid and set your speed. Monitor the collection through the viewing area to judge purity.
- Collection: Stop the motor once flow slows. The interior ensures easy recovery with a collection tool.
- Maintenance: Clean nylon sifters with cold water or 99% ISO alcohol after each run to maintain performance.
